I recently asked myself this question during my research, knowing that it's been a very long time since any new CWE directly related to management surfaces and these corruptions has been published. My main question concerns the taxonomic limits of memory corruption.

memory corruption arises from the constraints of computer architecture and as such it's quite stable so there aren't really other forms to classify it, except for creating more complex categories like use-after-free or type confusion. but those are the same categories they just exist because of specific patterns in some applications, in this example they would be allocators and JIT engines respectively
